Success in any exam starts with feeling prepared. Being familiar with the exam process can calm nerves and allow students to perform at their best.
Arise Academy’s Mock Test Days help to:
- Ease test-day anxiety
- Build exam techniques
- Spot and work on areas that could affect performance, like:
- Peer distractions (e.g. coughing, shuffling)
- Movement from invigilators
- Sticking to time limits
- Handling instructions effectively
- Managing short breaks properly

Each mock session lasts around 3 hours, broken down as follows:
- 20 minutes for registration
- Mock Paper 1: English Comprehension & Verbal Reasoning (50–60 mins)
- 20-minute break
- Additional papers may follow depending on the test format.
We offer 10 mock test sessions per year. The first begins during the Christmas break, followed by another in February half-term. These early tests help children settle into the structure and expectations of 11+ assessments.
Attending all 10 tests is highly beneficial. Spread across the year, they allow for consistent exposure and progress tracking.
Parents are welcome to wait in their cars. Unfortunately, due to safeguarding policies, parents cannot remain inside or use the toilets during the test.
✅ We provide a video review for each mock test so your child can reflect on their performance and improve over time.
Our mock tests use the multiple-choice format, just like the GL Assessment papers. Children will practice using answer sheets and receive full instructions during their session.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for registration, parking, and toilet breaks before the session begins.
Parents will not be allowed into the test room. Registration will be completed at the door.
